Workers’ Memorial Day — April 25, 2015
“Workers’ Memorial Day is celebrated each year on or around April 28th, the anniversary of passage of the Occupational Safety and Health Act in 1970. It is an opportunity to remember and honor the people who are killed or injured in workplaces, as well as a chance for people to recommit to making workplaces safer and healthier.”
Sponsored by the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Central Labor Council, Jobs with Justice of East Tennessee, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 760; Interfaith Worker Justice of East Tennessee; Iron Workers Union; and Church of the Savior, United Church of Christ.
